About TJ
I'm originally from a rural town in Pennsylvania where my passion for sustainability and reducing waste started (my dream job as a kid was to be a trashman). I graduated from Shippensburg University where I majored in Entrepreneurship & Marketing and became involved in programs centered around what gets tossed out day-to-day. I helped to expand a Food Recovery program that diverted leftover food from our dining halls and delivered it to free meal services around the town and also got the ball rolling for a composting program at the school. I started Scrap Daddy Composting to not only help divert as much food waste from the landfill as possible, but give families and businesses an option to be more sustainable in their everyday practices. I believe big changes start with small actions and this is where we start!
